“Gone Baby Gone” was released on DVD Feb. 12, 2008. It tells the story of private investigators Patrick (Casey Affleck) and Angie (Michelle Monaghan), hired to find a 4-year-old girl who went missing from the Dorchester neighborhood of Boston. Her mom is a drug-addicted, damaged woman named Helene (Amy Ryan).
It’s a total media circus, and the investigators are forced to team up with a detective (Ed Harris) and the chief of police (Morgan Freeman) to solve the case. But as the pieces start falling into place, it becomes a sad tale of drug dealers and child abusers, and you will not believe the ending. Great cast, haunting story, superb direction by Ben Affleck…this movie is definitely worth checking out.
