Rihanna shined in yellow at the BET Awards on June 24th where she was nominated for Best Female R&B Artist. She also performed her newest hit “Take a Bow.”
Rihanna definitely stood out in the crowd by dropping her rocker threads for the night and glided down the red carpet with her Giambattista Valli yellow ruffle maxi dress. She does keep with her trend of being bold with the summery bright color and teaming it with a dramatic lavender lip.
Despite walking the red carpet separately, Chris Brown and sat right next to her through out the show, even singing along as she performed. She also sheered him on as he performed his hit “Take You Down” which feature a steamy dance break with mutual friend and R&B starlet Ciara.

Rihanna has set the record straight about her rumored upcoming acting gig in the movie version os “Mama Black Widow” and says it’s not true! In the interview with MTV New’s Sway, she says she has no idea how the rumor started. It happens, Robin Thicke was listed as playing “Vanilla” in Stomp the Yard, and well we know that was nowhere near true.
However acting is still on her radar, but we’ll have to wait to see her on the big screen for a while.

Rihanna made a visit to the ladies of The View on June 23rd and they got some pretty interesting details about Rihanna!
When asked about her tattoos: Rihanna explained the new tattoo on her left shoulder: “They’re Roman numerals. Me and my best friend got the same thing. It’s her date of birth and she has mine.”
When asked about Chris Brown: “We hang out a lot. We’re very close. He’s an amazing person but we are not dating. We’re very close friends, though. Very, very close.”
She’s still sticking with the “close friends” title, be we all know the deal!

Rihanna’s got mom’s seal of approval.
The hitmaking beauty made a trip to GBK Productions’ Fire & Ice gifting lounge for the BET Awards over the weekend with her boyfriend, fellow music hotshot Chris Brown and his mom, Joyce Hawkins.
Hawkins, according to a source, was overheard cooing, “Rihanna is the sexiest and sweetest girl Chris has ever dated.”
And for once, the superprivate lovebirds weren’t so private during their hour-or-so-long visit to the lounge. “They came through holding hands and kissing each other on the neck,” says the source.

Both Rihanna and Brown also took home their own $5,000 gold watches from Croton, Grace hats, handblown glass art from Robert Kaindl and iPod cases from Guilty Couture. Rihanna also grabbed three pairs of Australia Love Collective boots, including the Vixen, the Nomad and the Party Nomad and helped Brown pick out a couple of pairs of New Balance running shoes.
Sounds like a good day was had by all.
Rihanna and Chris Brown collaborated to sing Rihanna’s hit single “Umbrella” the remix, while performing at the 2008 Power House concert on Saturday, June 21. How cute is that! You know you’ve been waiting to see them work the stage together, right?! They have great stage chemistry together too. All together now: Awwwe…

Check out candids of Rihanna performing on CBS’ The Early Show on June 20th at the CBS Studios Plaza in New York City. Look closely and you’ll see her new tattoo, it’s on her index finger and it says “shhh…” and I totally need one of those! LOL.
Unfortunately I can’t cosign on her feather skirt and sprt coat look, but you have to give the girl snaps for being daring and different. She is constantly changing her look but keeping it really rocker chic.

Rihanna has kept very busy in New York, and kept it going Thursday afternoon (June 19).
Wearing a floral tube dress with black heel boots, the “Take A Bow” hitmaker took on hosting duties at an Empire State Building lighting ceremony.
With red lights aglow at the flip of the switch, the special occasion being celebrated is the 3rd Annual Cartier “Declare Your Love Day.”
As part of the festivities, Cartier will be donating ten percent of all sales from the entire Love collection to benefit charity.

Rihanna has much to celebrate, right now it’s the re-release of her platinum album Good Girl Gone Bad: Reloaded. With the help of some industry friends such as Teyana Taylor and British newcomer Estelle, Rihanna hit up Guesthouse in New York City to screen her newest release. Enjoying cake, the crew seemed to have had a grand time! Someone was missing though, boyfriend Chris Brown was noticeably absent from the affair.
