I can’t keep up with all of homegirl’s European performances. I guess that has something to do with the fact that Britney just shows up and lip-syncs, so it’s hard to discern one shitty performance from the next.

It’s amazing how much can change in a small handful of years. These days Katie Holmes is bringing back the fashions of the ’80s (tight-rolled jeans, Dirty Dancing shorts) as she graces every tabloid and website, works on stage, and hangs with Tom and Suri. But she used to be pretty busy with the holiday that is Thanksgiving. Just five years ago — Katie Holmes’ hair was red, she was young and spunky, and she was starring in Pieces of April. Usually, holiday-centric films just get the basics — turkey, family, matriarch in the kitchen. They don’t focus on young, punky girls who are determined to bring together estranged family members and make a traditional Thanksgiving meal. Yes, April definitely has the obligatory family trauma to make the drama we have all come to expect, but it also shows just how far and wide tradition can reach, and that not all the cooks in the kitchen are smiling moms in aprons.
Go back a few more years, and you can find a second Thanksgiving-themed film. Change her name to Libbitz, make her the object of Tobey Maguire’s affections, and you’ve got The Ice Storm. Personally, I prefer the latter, but it all boils down to what you’re looking for — the possibility of bringing a family together and lots of food, or retro dysfunction laced with black humor.
A new Disney Channel series called ‘Oops!’ is in pre-production and it’s time for auditions! All roles are available, which means Disney is looking for some new and fresh talent.
How will they cast the roles? A National Casting Call will be held in several major cities all over the United States. You must submit a resume and head shot. For where to send this information, see Acting Info.

The show follows the antics of the suburban Breman family, Bob and Anne, their two sons and one daughter, their newborn baby Daisy, and the family dog Roscoe.

2009 is right around the corner! The cast of ‘Wizards if Waverly Place’ is celebrating by hosting Totally New Year ‘09. Selena Gomez, David Henrie, Jake T. Austin and Jennifer Stone will be on the Disney Channel Wednesday, December 31 from 6 PM to 12:30 AM ET/PT.

The Jonas Brothers were in New York City on Friday promoting their new book ‘Burning Up: On Tour With the Jonas Brothers’. Did any of you buy their book on Black Friday? I bet a lot of copies sold!
The boys also appeared on Good Morning America to promote the book. When asked to describe it, they said that it was sort of like a scrapbook for their fans.
Kevin, Joe and Nick also answered questions from fans. See what they said when asked what actor they would have play them in a movie.

Remember Lucas Till? We haven’t heard much about him lately. He plays Miley Cyrus’s love interest in Hannah Montana: The Movie. (The picture above is of Lucas and Miley hanging out on the beach.) While they were filming, everyone was sure that Lucas and Miley had a thing going, but now that she is paling around with Justin Gaston, those rumors have gone away.
Popstar! did a photo shoot with Lucas Till and we get a behind-the-scenes look. Do you still think he’s cute? I can’t wait to see him act and see if him and Miley have any chemistry.

Although they seem to enjoy Europe, they’ve frequently said that they love New Orleans more than any other home base. I think a lot of it has to do with the fact that they get to live a bit more of a normal life (such that it is) there. Yes, people still take their pictures, but you don’t seem to see throngs of cameras following them everywhere.
As a result, Brad was able to go for a motorcycle ride (see here and here). I love motorcycles anyway, but add Brad Pitt to the equation, and it’s even better!

They made some purchases while they were there. I wonder if they’re Christmas presents from Maddox to his siblings or if they were just some “just because” toys - those are always fun to get!
I wonder if there will be any kind of special DVD launch for Wanted which comes out on Tuesday; I didn’t expect a big red carpet event for the Kung Fu Panda release but there she was, so you just never know!
In other news, Brad Pitt is supposed to be on the Today show on December 2nd as well. There had been some questions as to whether it was a live appearance or a previously taped segment but if they’re state-side, there’s a good chance it will be live.

(Well, okay ONE thing I love about her, among many!) She makes more money than I can even dream of, and yet she’s still wearing those nude flats, shoes I have seen her wear for ages. Not many high profile celebrities wear a pair of shoes to death but she does. I don’t know why, but I love that.
